Mainland China's Economic Update
Mainland China's consumer price inflation hit an 11 year high of 7.1% year-on-year in January 2008 due partly to seasonal factor (the Lunar New Year) and the snowstorm in January - February that disrupted supply.  More fundamental reasons were the persistent increase in global commodity and food prices and strong domestic demand.  Click here to see full article by HKTDC.
