Sing Tao Daily leads the way in editorial quality and in-depth reporting. At the 2008 Jack Webster Awards on November 6, its BC edition was awarded “Best Reporting – Chinese Language” for the series on “Disaster of the Century: 5.12 Sichuan Earthquake”.

New Rules in China on Foreign-Invested Advertising Enterprises Take Effect from October 2008.
Recently, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC) and the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) jointly promulgated the revised Provisions on the Administration of Foreign-Invested Advertising Enterprises which came into force on 1 October 2008, while the previous version issued by SAIC and MOFCOM on 2 March 2004 became invalid on the same date.
