DESCRIPTION: USMCA: The New NAFTA Creating Opportunities during Turbulent
Times in Trade and Tax Reform While new free trade agreements are being
ratified between countries around the globe\, we are also witness to
protectionist policies\, retaliation to such measures and major tax
reforms. Specifically the U.S. withdrawal from the Trans Pacific
Partnership\, NAFTA re-negotiations\, and additional tariffs on steel and
aluminum and Chinese origin goods have affected the ability of Canadian
companies to make business decisions. The ancient Chinese saying
&ldquo\;May We Live in Interesting Times&rdquo\; rings true today denoting
a climate of uncertainty\, but history has shown that from disruption
stems opportunity. The time is now for companies to assess their current
position in terms of supply chains and sales structures to leverage new
opportunities\, minimize costs\, and gain an advantage over their
competitors. Join us Tuesday\, November 27th\, 2018 for an engaging panel
on free trade and tax reform\, with particular focus on the USMCA
agreement\, to learn of its implications on and opportunities presented to
Canadian businesses. Russell W. Crawford\, Partner and National Leader -
