Helen Hong Zhou, CPA, CA, is a strong advocate for trade and investment between Canada and Asia Pacific countries. She has significant international work experience in business, government and academic institutions including, Ernst & Young Ltd, the Canadian Embassy in China, and the University of British Columbia. She demonstrated an expertise in assisting clients in implementing their global strategy with a focus on trade, investment and market entry between China and Canada.
Helen has superior international business development skills by successfully helping 6 Canadian companies to navigate government resources, attract Chinese investments and expand to the Chinese markets. In her recent experience at HQ Vancouver, she helped international companies to set up their North American headquarters in BC. Helen is also a CPA, CA with over 5 years of experience in mergers & acquisition, reporting and regulatory requirements for both private and publicly traded companies. Her clients included multinationals and SMEs in technology, advanced manufacturing and life science industries.
Helen also believes in giving back to society. She enthusiastically promotes diversity and encourages immigrants to adapt to Canadian society. She previously served on the Canadian Citizenship Committee and is currently a board member for The Laurier Institution, mentor of Sauder Executive Mentorship Program.
She graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Honours and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
